Try-Outs Schedule

Just a friendly reminder that try-out practices start tomorrow.  All try-out practices and try-outs will be in the North Gym.  Here are the times and information one more time.

Friday 4:00pm - 6:00pm
*You will learn the try-out cheer.  Check back on the website on Friday evening to see a video of the cheer, along with the words.

Monday 4:00pm - 7:30pm
*You will learn the try-out dance. Check back on the website on Monday evening to see a video of the dance.

Tuesday 4:00pm - 6:00pm
*Review of the dance and cheer.

Wednesday 4:00pm - 6:00pm
*Mock try-out day.

Thursday 4:00pm - ????
*Try-outs!  Results will be posted on line that evening once try-outs are over.

NOTE: Parents are asked to drop their daughter off and return at the end of the practice.  This is a closed try-out (including practices). Visitors and spectators are not allowed.  We thank you in advance for you cooperation.

Open Gym at Express

Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7pm-9pm Express will have an open gym time for any girl trying out for LCA cheer next year.  The cost is $5 per day.  During this time there will be space and mirrors for you to practice with.  There will not be coaches there to assist you with your cheer and/or dance.  If you would like one-on-one help please contact Express directly to set up a private lesson.  Feel free to email Coach Holley with questions.

Mascot Information

If you are interested in trying out for mascot for the 2012-2013 school year here is what is required for your try-outs.  You will need to come up with your own skit to music using props, signs, candy, etc.  You will try out after all of the cheerleader candidates on Thursday, April 5^th.  You are only required to come to try out prep on Wednesday for the mock try-out and Thursday for the actual try-out.

       Can I wear the mascot costume/uniform for tryouts?
Yes!


How many mascots will there be?
Two.  One will cheer with the Varsity Team and one will cheer with the Junior High Team.

Do I need to fill out the same forms as the rest of the cheerleaders trying out?
Yes.  All forms except for the Express form will need to be turned in to Coach Holley by Friday,
March 23^rd.
